Barbie got her name because she is a big blond. I think she is beautiful, though a bit dramatic. She raised a beautiful set of twin doelings that I am keeping as they are following her style in being big and beautiful. Unfortunately Barbie’s pasterns are bad, I hate seeing them. She is a good doe with her feet/pasterns being her biggest fault. Her daughters are much improved with their pasterns. If she gives me another single, she will be culled, otherwise she is a great mother and I will keep her as long as she give me good kids and she keeps walking.

Kora is a pretty doe. I think she looks very showy. She had a hard time kidding as both kids hugged and tried to come out at the same time, which is how we ended up with our first c-section on our farm with any of our livestock. Kora’s buckling survived and boy did she want him. He grew very well and she had an amazing mothering ability. I’m giving her a pass as that was a funky situation and hopefully she does better this year though she had a positive pregnancy test, but I’m still waiting.

Krystal and Betty are hard to tell apart. Krystal lost her very first kid to freezing temperatures. Her second kidding she lost one of her bucklings at around 2 months of age. First one was an accident. She disliked one kid more than the other on the second birth. She had a lot of milk, but with all the temperature changes I’m not certain that she didn’t get a touch of mastitis and then decide she didn’t want to feed everyone. She will be culled if she doesn’t do better next kidding.

Honda is ugly in my opinion but she is a milking powerhouse. Her dam wouldn’t get bred until we finally threw an alpine buck at her. Honda has a huge udder with huge teats and must be milked out for the first week or 2 after birth until her kids can somewhat keep up. Good to keep for extra milk.
I am selling her because she has large teats and I have to help her kids suck for about 2-3 days. I don’t want to help her kids suck. She gave me another set of twins this year. A great commercial doe if you have the time to mess with her in the beginning of each kidding.

Impreza is polled and passed that to her daughter. She is easy to milk and I often use her to supplement extra kids.
She is being sold because this is her third time having a single kid. She has amazing milk if you need that in your herd. I kept her to supplement when I had first time kidders, but I have a dairy goat for this next spring to take over that duty. She is easy to milk, but she needs to be watched and milked out if she only has a single kid, she has too much milk for 1 kid.
